Materials
For dough:
1 kg semolina
1 cup flour
250 g margarine
Half a glass of oil
1 packet of vanilla
1 packet of baking powder
1.5 cups of warm water
For inner material
1 cup ground walnuts
15 g butter
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 cups Hurmatat dates
For the Cake
Powdered sugar
Preparation of:
Put semolina, flour, margarine, oil, vanilla and baking powder in a bowl and whisk.
Add warm water and knead to earlobe consistency.
Cover it with a damp cloth and leave it for 30 minutes to rest.
Clean the Hurmatat dates , remove the seeds and slice them.
Melt the butter in a pan. Then add Hurmatat dates and sauté.
Add walnuts and cinnamon and mix. Remove from the stove and let it cool.
Place the dough on the counter and roll it out into a rectangle about one finger thick.
Spread the filling ingredients in equal amounts in the middle of the dough and wrap it in a roll shape.
Cut the dough into 3 fingers or the thickness you want and place them on a greased tray, spaced apart.
Bake at 175 degrees for 25 minutes. cook. You can serve warm or cold by sprinkling powdered sugar on top.
