Sugar-free Güllaç Recipe, the sultan of iftar tables
When the month of Ramadan comes, isn't the first dessert that comes to mind is Güllaç? We recommend you to try our Güllaç recipe prepared with date juice, which you can easily make at home without using refined sugar.
MATERIALS
10 leaves of rosehip
2 liters of milk
2.5 cups of Hurmatat Date Juice
300 g chopped walnuts (to be added in the middle of the dessert)
FOR DECORATION
Pistachios or walnuts
Pomegranate, strawberry or any red fruit of your choice
PREPARATION OF
We put milk and 2.5 cups of Hurmatat date juice into the pot and cook over medium heat.
We warm the cooked milk to room temperature.
If the milk boils, your dessert will turn into dough, and if it is cold, the gullaç leaves will not get wet, so we make sure that it is warm enough to not burn your hands.
We place the Güllaç leaf in a deep tray with the shiny part on top.
We pour a ladle or two of milk on it so that it gets wet all over.
Let's repeat the same process for five Güllaç leaves and sprinkle the coarsely chopped walnuts on the tray.
Let's wet the remaining 5 Güllaç leaves and spread them in the same way.
Finally, let's add the ingredients to decorate it.
You can serve it after keeping it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
