Almond Date Dessert
Almond Date Dessert Recipe
Materials
2 cups semolina
4 glasses of flour
Grated peel of 1 orange
Half a glass of orange juice
1 teacup of oil
1 cup of yoghurt
1 packet of baking powder
1 packet of vanilla

Inner Material
300 g Hurmatat Dates
40 unsalted peeled almonds
Half a tea glass of water

For the sherbet
4 glasses of water

PREPARATION OF
Remove the seeds of the dates and put them in a pot with half a tea glass of water and cook for 3-5 minutes.
Add the almonds and remove from the stove after a few minutes. Leave it aside to cool.
For the sherbet, put Hurmatat date juice and 4 cups of water in a pot and stir until it boils.
Boil on low heat for 10 minutes to thicken the syrup. Remove from the stove and let it cool.
Put the orange juice, orange peel, oil, yoghurt, vanilla and baking powder in a deep bowl and whisk.
First add semolina, then flour and knead a smooth dough.
Take egg-sized pieces from the dough and flatten them with a rolling pin.
Cut round pieces from the dough using the mouth of a water glass or cup.
Divide the mixture so that there is an almond in each piece.
Cover the dough and place it on the tray.
Bake in the oven set at 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes until it turns pink.
Take it out of the oven and pour the cold syrup.
Serve warm or cold.
