CYPRUS DESSERT RECIPE PREPARED WITH DATE JUICE
MATERIALS
INGREDIENTS FOR THE CAKE
3 eggs
Half a glass of Hurmatat Powdered Dates
Half a glass of oil
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup coconut
1 packet of baking powder
INGREDIENTS FOR CREAM
1 liter milk
1 glass of starch
Half a glass of Hurmatat Date Juice
1 packet of vanilla
1 pack of whipped cream
INGREDIENTS FOR SHERBET
2 glasses of water
1.5 cups of Hurmatat Date Juice
1 packet of vanilla
PREPARATION OF
For the sherbet;
Before making our dessert, we prepare our sherbet and let it cool.
We put 2 cups of water in a pot, add 1.5 cups of Hurmatat date juice and boil it. After it boils, we turn the stove to low heat and boil for another 15 minutes.
We turn off the stove, add vanilla and let it cool.
For the cake;
We whisk 3 eggs and half a glass of powdered dates thoroughly. We add and mix the other ingredients one by one.
We pour the mixture prepared for the cake into a greased tray or square baking tray.
We bake in the oven preheated to 160 degrees for 30 minutes.
We take it out of the oven and pour the syrup over the cake before it cools down and let it cool down.
For the cream;
We put 1 liter of milk, 1 glass of starch, half a glass of Hurmatat date juice and 1 pack of vanilla in a pot and cook until it reaches the consistency of pudding.
We turn off the stove, add 1 pack of whipped cream and beat with a blender for 5 minutes.
We pour the pudding over the cooled syrup cake.
We sprinkle coconut on it. If you wish, you can use hazelnuts or walnuts.
You can serve it after keeping it in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
